Road America 2018
For the most part, 2017 was a pretty fun year at Road America. For this year, I am planning that it will be just as fun. However, since I have met a bunch of new people at the track last season, the level of fun should be just a few clicks higher this time around.
Clearly, one of the major highlights from last season was the addition of my moped. Those of us that have been to Road America, know exactly what that means. There is A LOT of walking to be had there and even though the property is a beautiful one, it will bring the havoc to those not prepared to get around in an efficient manner. Getting the moped to the track is on top of my list this season.
As far as the races go, it looks like I will be able to attend just about the same events that I did last season. Because of my "work" schedule, there might be a weekend or two in there where I am unable to hangout all weekend, but can attend at least one of the days. I am planning to do just that. Over the years, I have grown to appreciate the races and have figured out which ones I really like attending.
Showcasing the races from my vantage point and with photo credentials will not be my primary focus, however. That will be 2nd to my focusing, interacting and engaging with the crowds that arrive at the beautiful 640-acre facility all summer long!
If you are going to be at the race track, keep an eye open for me and let's chat. Whether you are another photographer with credentials, a spectator photographer or just someone that loves the sounds and smells of the track, I'd like to chat with you. I am not hard to find. On my moped between races and maybe even talking to my own camera while I film the vlog I started last season. >>> CLICK HERE TO SEE MY VLOG ON YOUTUBE <<<
What the hell would racing be like if there wasn't a fan in the stand to cheer you on? Fans are great! They are die hard, they spend hard earned money and they do it for the thrill of the race. Road America caters to the fans, just like most venues, and in 2017 there are plenty of reasons to find yourself at the National Park of Speed!
If you are a race fan and love to get up to the fence, the odds are pretty good that you are going to see me, with my camera gear pointing your direction to take a photo of your excitement at the races!
The end result of my trips to Road America are clearly what you are coming here for. The photos of all the things that make for a great race season are located here and shared throughout my social media channels.
If you see a photo of yourself on the track and would like a copy, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am always happy to help out the racers on the track. I can also be hired as a dedicated track photographer if you are interested in that.
